Our brief was simple- “Create a brand for educational toys and activity kits that make learning science, coding, and design fun for all children. The brand should feel creative, playful, and exciting to explore.”
From there, we dove deep to create a dynamic new brand with an indepth visual identity. Presenting THE BANANA KITS!
Let’s go back to the beginning…
To understand the aesthetic and visual identity of a brand, you have to first understand its audience and market .
What process did we follow to go from research to final execution?
1. Break down Brief
What products/services do they sell? What would their short term + long term aspirations be?
2. Competitor Analysis
To understand what’s already been done and what your unique selling point could be
3. Market Positioning
Understand your audience, where do you stand in the market? What kind of archetypes will help you connect with your target group?
4. Identify Mission, Vision, Values
Gathering keywords that describe your brand + your research till this point
5. Create Moodboards
This is done to translate the keywords collected before into visuals. Narrowing down from multiple moodboards leads to your visual identity becoming cohesive.
6. Visual Identity
The job to create the name, logo, etc just became a whole lot easier after putting this amount of research behind it!
